The Velas Turtle Festival is an annual wildlife conservation event centered around the hatching and release of endangered Olive Ridley sea turtles. It’s not just a spectacle — it’s a community-driven effort to protect these marine creatures and raise awareness about turtle conservation.

The most magical moment of the festival is watching baby Olive Ridley turtles hatch from their eggs and crawl towards the Arabian Sea for the first time. These tiny turtles instinctively move toward the light reflecting off the water — a sight that is both emotional and awe-inspiring.

Terms & Conditions / Cancellation Policy

In case you wish to cancel your trek please email us at hikers.mountain@gmail.com & contact our respective representative.

 

  • Booking Amount is not refundable.

  • 50% refund if cancellation is made more than 30 days and less than 45 days prior  to the departure date of the event.

  • 25% refund if cancellation is made more than 20 days and less than 30 days prior  to the departure date of the event.

  • NO refund will be made if cancellation is made within 20 days prior to the  departure date of the event.

  • In case of cancellation of any event due to reasons beyond control (like Natural  calamities, riots, political uncertainty, public transport failure etc.) of Mountain  Hikers, no refund shall be payable. Cancellation charges are based on the total trek / Tour fee, irrespective of the amount paid either full or partial.
