About the event

Day 01: Arrival in Srinagar  

Upon your arrival in Srinagar, our associate will welcome you with a warm greeting. They will then escort you to your hotel or houseboat and help you with the check-in process. Once you are well-rested you can begin with your sightseeing tour in the city. Begin with a calm and peaceful 2-hour Shikara ride in Dal Lake. This will relax you from all the travel you made earlier today. Also, the scenic snow-covered mountains will add to the experience of the ride. Post this tiring day, return to your hotel for dinner and a night stay.  

Day 02: Srinagar to kargil vai sonamarg (201 km) 

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be travelling to Kargil via Sonamarg. So, as soon as you finish with your breakfast, leave for your road trip.Sonamarg is known as the “meadow of gold”. The snow-covered mountains of Sonamarg are a beautiful sight to witness. , take a drive around the Zoji La Pass . Later, you will continue your road trip to Kargil. On the way to Kargil will fall Drass Valley where the kargil war memorial.. This is the place where the Kargil war took place and this is the exact location where the Pakistani Army had dropped shells. Overnight stay at kargil. 

Day 03: Kargil to Leh (230 km)

After breakfast drive to leh via mulbek (where you can see a giant Buddha statue sculpted on a rock mountain, lamayuru also known as the moon land famous for its moon landscape and later visit sangam point the confluence of river indus and zangskar river and later visit the pathar sahib gurudwara, the magnetic hill and later reach leh check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Leh local sightseeing

Full day sight seeing of monastery & Palace around Leh (78km) After breakfast Thiksay, Shey, Sindu Ghat, & back to Leh for lunch. After lunch- Hall of fame, Shanti Stupa overnight at Leh.

Day 05: Leh- Khardungla - Nubra Valley

After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardung-la (alt: 18300 ft.), 2 highest motor able pass in the world. On reaching Deskit visit the magnificent disket monastery one of the largest monastery in the valley and yes off course the 2 story maitreya Buddha statue opposite to the monastery which provide a magnificent view of the valley and later depart to diskit/ Hunder in the afternoon and check-in at your camp / hotel. Rest of the at leisure to explore Hundar and the white Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel Safari on the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional, on direct payment). Overnight in camp / hotel at Hunder / Diskit.

Day 06: Nubra Turtuk Nubra

After breakfast, drive to Turtuk (which was first opened for tourists in 2010) which is a place Annexed by India only after the 1971 war.The village's inhabitants still use traditional utensils which are crafted from stone. Explore the village of Turtuk the village offers views of a beautiful valley, part of Shyok Valley. On clear days you can have a glimpse of K2 mountain peak located across the border in Pakistan. Return to Hundar by the evening. Overnight at hunder in a hotel/camp

Day 07: Nubra to Pangong Lake 

After breakfast, drive to Pangong lake via shyok valley. Pangong Lake (alt: 14,500 ft.), largest brackish water lake of Asia, is 4-5 kms wide and about 135 kms long of which two-third portion lies on the other side of the Indo-China border. Enjoy the turquoise color panoramic lake and the sun set on the banks of the lake with magnificent mountains. Overnight stay in a cottage /camp at pangong.

Day 08: Pangong -Leh (140 kms. / 4.5 hrs. One way)

After early breakfast, we drive towards Rezang la war memorial, on arrival visit the war memorial and then return to leh  via Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft./ 5486 meters), 3rd highest motorable pass in the world.The drive takes you through spectacular, amazing scenery, with breath-taking views of the snow covered Himalayas. continue your drive to LEH.  Have your dinner in the hotel. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 09: Departure from Leh

Check out from the hotel in time to catch your flight for onward destination with wonderful memories of Ladakh

Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc. (to be borne by the client, who is directly payable on the spot)

Cancellation & Refund Policy

In case you wish to cancel your trek please email us at hikers.mountain@gmail.com & contact our respective representative.

1. 50% refund if cancellation is made more than 30 days and less than 45 days prior  to the departure date of the event.

2. 25% refund if cancellation is made more than 20 days and less than 30 days prior  to the departure date of the event.

3. NO refund will be made if cancellation is made within 20 days prior to the  departure date of the event.

4. In case of cancellation of any event due to reasons beyond control (like Natural  calamities, riots, political uncertainty, public transport failure etc.) of Mountain  Hikers, no refund shall be payable.

Cancellation charges are based on the total trek fee, irrespective of the amount paid either full or partial.
